NH684 On packages of treated seeds the maximum seed rate per hectare must be indicated as specified in the authorisation. For a combination of several seed protectants, the lowest admissible seed rate must be stated.
NH6831-1 The following label must be printed on the seed package: "Treated seeds may only be sown by using a pneumatic seeding machine which operates with negative pressure, if this machine is registered in the "List of drift reducing sowing equipment" of the Julius Kühn-Institute (this can be seen on the Julius Kühn-Institute's website.)".
NH681-3 The following labelling shall be placed on treated seed packaging: No sowing of treated seed permitted in case of forecast wind with an hourly average wind speed at a height of 2 m higher than 5 m/s. To evaluate the wind speed, the forecast on the internet site of the German Meteorological Service of the nearest agricultural meteorological station should be consulted up to 72 hours before sowing.
NT699-1 The seed treatment shall only be performed in professional seed treatment facilities, which are registered in the index of "Seed Treatment Facilities with Quality Assurance Systems to Minimise Dust" of the Julius Kühn-Institute (visit the homepage of the Julius Kühn-Institute).
NT714-3 At the beginning of the production process it must be demonstrated and documented for each formulation that the amount of active substance which might be abraded by dust (Heubach a.s. value) does not exceed 6.8 mg cyantraniliprole per 700,000 seeds. This evidence must be submitted and documented for all formulations once every calendar year or at the beginning of the treatment season after intermission of the production. Retention samples of treated seeds from the production process allowing the determination of the Heubach-a.s. value must be taken from new seed batches or every two weeks at the latest. These retention samples shall be retained for at least 12 months. Changes in the nature and quantity of the adjuvants used or changes in the use of new dressing equipment technology require new evidence. When the Heubach a.s. value exceeds 6.8 mg cyantraniliprole per 700,000 seeds, treated seeds may not be marketed.
