NH681-3 The following labelling shall be placed on treated seed packaging: No sowing of treated seed permitted in case of forecast wind with an hourly average wind speed at a height of 2 m higher than 5 m/s. To evaluate the wind speed, the forecast on the internet site of the German Meteorological Service of the nearest agricultural meteorological station should be consulted up to 72 hours before sowing.
NT715-14 A suitable dressing process, which includes the use of a suitable sticker, must ensure that the amount of active ingredient in the dust (sum of the active ingredients contained) which might be abraded (Heubach a.s. value in g total of the active ingredients abraded dust), does not exceed a reference value of 0.043 g per seed unit (1,000,000 seeds). Evidence is to be provided using the Heubach method and appropriate analytics. Documentation of the measured Heubach a.s. values must be available in case of a certification process. Changes in the nature and quantity of the adjuvants used or changes in the use of new dressing equipment technology require new evidence.
NT699-1 The seed treatment shall only be performed in professional seed treatment facilities, which are registered in the index of "Seed Treatment Facilities with Quality Assurance Systems to Minimise Dust" of the Julius Kühn-Institute (visit the homepage of the Julius Kühn-Institute).
NH684 On packages of treated seeds the maximum seed rate per hectare must be indicated as specified in the authorisation. For a combination of several seed protectants, the lowest admissible seed rate must be stated.
